How do I know that my son/daughter will get the level of help they need in this program?
Your son/daughter will receive an even higher level of help in this online program because the lessons are available to them 24/7. This way they can revisit lessons and live support calls to digest the information at their pace.
There are twice weekly live support video calls where the participants interact with Amy, so there is a lot of opportunity to ask questions and get the 1:1 support they need to complete this program and write their college admissions essay.
To what extent will my son/daughter receive personalized writing feedback?
Individualized feedback is provided by a writing expert for each draft he/she submits.
Improved writing is encouraged through asking your son/daughter questions, providing examples, and unlimited email support throughout the program.
How does the scheduling work?
The live calls are pre-scheduled and you'll find the twice weekly live call schedule for this program intake within the course once you enroll.
Generally, live video calls take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings around 7:30pm EST.
Just as if your teen participated in a tutoring session or in-person class, your teen will be able to participate in the live sessions as frequently as he/she needs in order to complete the program and essay.
He/she can join calls, and access the program lessons, from his/her desktop, laptop, or any mobile device.
How will you get to know my son/daughter well enough to learn his/her writing style?
At the beginning of the program there are several short, but effective, introductory activities to allow me to get to know your teen.
Through the live sessions and feedback, Amy continues to learn more about your son/daughter to allow to her cater to their strengths, skills, and special interests in order to best help them write an outstanding college admissions essay.
How involved do I have to be as the parent?
You can be as involved as you'd like to be but, rest assured, your teen is in good hands with Amy who is an established, respected tutor, as well as her team of writing experts.
Do you guarantee that my son/daughter will complete their essay using your program?
We cannot guarantee that your son/daughter will complete the essay. The program will guide your teen through the process, provide real-time feedback, and help them through with live support. Ultimately, it is up to your son/daughter to write the essay in the three week time period of the course.
